Friday Five

1. Wow is it HOT!!!!!!!!!
2. My mom arrives in 5 days, the girls and I are so excited to see her.
3. It is 3:00 and the house is still quiet, the girls should be home any minute to add some noise to the house.
4. Can anyone tell me what the HOV stands for in HOV lanes on the freeway...it has been bugging me and I am too lazy to Google it.
5. I am ready to sleep in this weekend hopefully the girls are as well.

Football Season is back

Ten on Tuesday

1. Well after my third day working with the preschoolers I now have a new found appreciation for all the hard work that goes into running an amazing program.
2. Not to mention that I am exhausted after the day is through and then I come home to my beautiful and demanding girls.
3. Thank God that I have tomorrow off to rest.
4. My mom is visiting in 2 weeks and Tomorrow is her birthday....HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM, we love you and are looking forward to seeing you.
5. Last time my mom came in October we had a fire and had to evacuate so hopefully that will not happen this time.
6. Thank you Chris for putting the girls to bed tonight, did I mention that I am exhausted?
7. I had my dollar scoop tonight because I ate very well today and I deserved a treat.
8. Chocolate chip mint in a cup, if you are wondering.
9. I am getting a hair cut on Friday...it has been at least 5 months since my last cut and style and my hair is heavy.
10. I am tempted to chop the hair but for those of you who know me know that I won't

Fun and Games

What do we do for fun around here?

Emilee likes to relax in front of the computer and play games.

Our new pets love to annoy me and I like to poison them. Terro works!!!! Buy it if you have ants. It is a liquid that is applied to little pieces of cardboard and the ants drink it and take it back to their family and it wipes them out after a few days. But I am having many different families visiting so I have to reapply once a week for the ants that found a new way to get into my kitchen and just search around and make me angry. OK enough of the ants
I also enjoy a little game I call pot stacking.

The girls have been playing some tennis.

Ten on Tuesday

1. This is the second week of school for the girls and already the worksheets and artwork is piling up....I just never know what to do with it. I guess the worksheets could simply be recycled after I sneak a peek, right?
2. I am officially a working mom and two days is certainly plenty to start with. I had my first day working with the preschoolers today and my are they cute and so little. I am loving it so far but I am tired at the end of the day.
3. My day off without the girls went sooooooooo fast!!
4. Can you believe that I opted out of dollar scoop night at Baskin Robins? I wanted to blog in quiet and I am too full from dinner or maybe it was the snacks I had before dinner.
5. I need to lose weight!!!
6. Counting points begins tomorrow
7. Chris has a new work day, Friday, now we will have daddy all weekend, YEAH!!
8. Our back yard is a work in progress. After getting a few costly estimates on fake grass we are trying to patch it ourselves with grass seed. I will keep you posted on the progress.
9. Emilee's arm is much better but she is having a hard time going to the park where it all happened. With time she will forget and forgive her sister as well

First Day of School

The first day of school has come and gone and summer is now officially over.
Ashley did great saying goodbye today and I did not shed a tear. I was so proud of her. Emilee sitting at her 2ND grade desk, she kept commenting on how tall the chair was.
I gave them both kisses and hugs and off to my first day of work I went. I wish I had a picture of me with my lunch box.
