Sneak Peek

This afternoon we had a trial run with makeup and tap costumes..Yikes, was it hard putting eyeliner on the girls (especially Emilee). I may need the help of a professional!!
All in all we survived and they enjoyed being all made up for about an hour. The dress rehearsal is Thursday and the recital is Sunday after church. They are so excited!!!!

These photos were taken with the new camera which is now out and working. I figured out how to charge the battery and now I just need to work on lighting and all the technical stuff. I am planning on watching the instructional DVD soon.

Friday Five

1. The new camera arrived and now I have to set it all up and learn how to use it. 2. Little artists...........


3..Naughty painters.!!!! I left them for a minute and came back to a paint war. It was funny for about a second until I realized how full of paint they really were.

4. Interesting light effects on the wall in the backyard.

5. The girls got to see one of their favorite groups perform last Saturday at Spirit West Coast in Del Mar. They got to see them perform twice, once at the grandstand and then at the kids stage where they were within a few feet of the high energy threesome. PureNRG...is a christian pop group who sing and dance too. They are a blessing to our family. They have a great message to share and it was fun for me as well.

Yes, we had to wait in line to get their autographs.. Mom had to do all the work the girls were way to shy.

Friday Five

1. I am planning on selling my old school Canon Rebel film camera....my new Nikon is on its way!!

2. Playing in the Rain


3. With the wedding themed bunco coming up next month, my mom sent my veil and slip. The girls were having some fun trying it on and pretending that they were getting married. I am not sure what Ashley is thinking about there in the background. I guess I should have cropped her out of the picture.
4. American Idol is now over and the right David was crowned. Now what will I do with my Tuesday and Wednesday evenings?? Does anyone know when the next Amazing Race begins?

5. Tomorrow is the last tap class before the big recital in June. I have a surprise for the girls after class..........one of their favorite groups, Pure NRG, is having a concert at Spirit West Coast in Del Mar . I know they are going to be so thrilled and surprised.

Ten on Tuesday

1. I am enjoying the weather today!! It has been too hot for me, I was having PA flashbacks with the humidity and high temps.


2. My Henna tattoo is doing well...I was such a chicken that night and I think that I went last. It was fun and so unlike something that I would do. It does come off in 2 weeks, right??

3. Today at bible study I was so emotional and I am not even PMSing. There were so many testimonies about how blessed the women were who did the study this year. I was blessed to be a part of it. I learned how uniquely designed we are and how God uses so many different ways to bring people to himself.

4. Oh yeah and then Susie had to go and remind us of her leaving this summer and the tears kept flowing...you will be missed Susie and Ohio is blessed to have you next.

5. There are only like 19 days of school left for Emilee and then I will officially have a kindergarten and a second grader..WOW where did the time go?

6. I am seeking a part time job for next year so your prayers are needed. I am nervous about working again ( it has been almost 8 yrs) and I want to be where God wants me to be.

7. I am excited to announce that this June Chris and I will be married 12 years!! We are celebrating with a little getaway to Coronado for a weekend. I will kept you posted on that. Eleanor will have the girls, so thankful for that.

8. This month I have missed 2 birthdays, well actually I just got the dates wrong. I felt so bad because one of them was my forever friend from PA, Samantha. How could I not remember her b-day..I had it written down wrong. If you are reading this I am so sorry again. May has been a month full of b-days. I have been making a lot of cards.

9. Well tonight is the final chance for the 2 Davids to battle it out on American Idol. I look forward to the song choices and the winner finally being crowned. I pick David Cook!!

10. This week my other favorite show begins again...........So you think you can dance!!! Any other fans out there in blog land??

Playing catch-up

I know that Mother's day was a while ago but i never shared how I spent my day. We started out at the Otay Ranch Shops in Chula Vista...It is beautiful down there and the shops are amazing and the scenery is nice as well.

I bought myself this cute tote bag for summer...Chris and the girls bought me the outfit i am wearing. Capri's and blue top( my favorite color)


The shopping center has beautiful fountains and a place for kiddos to draw with chalk.

After some lunch at Panera we went to the Nature Center. This was great because the price was right and the crowds were small. It is a small place and it was very peaceful. We took a bus from the parking lot to the center so the girls loved it right away.

The thrill was the ray exhibit where you can touch and get splashed by the string rays. The were some cool sharks as well.

At the end of our visit we took a stroll down one of the nature paths that leads to the bay. It is a place to visit at least once.

Backyard Fun

Water is so much fun and they can play forever!! Dumping water on each other is too cool.Payback, Emilee was so upset that Ashley missed her head. I had to fill up the bucket and dump it on her myself.
This birdhouse was painted by the girls and we had it in the backyard for almost a month before the birds found it. We have a variety of birds feeding all day and it is fun to watch them feast.

Snails can be so pesty I know but the girls had fun making a home for one in a frisbee. He kept trying to crawl out.

The past week in review.
