Ten on Tuesday

  1. Today feels like a Monday to me.
  2. I am ready for some warmer weather, not shorts weather though, i am not quite ready for that.
  3. I think that it might be almost time for a highlight, I am sporting some new gray hairs on the top of my head. As Chris says " who looks all the way up there"? true but I still know that they are there.
  4. Within the next two weeks Chris and I will be another year closer to the big 40. (Reason for the new gray hair?)
  5. Still looking for a flight to PA this summer and prices went up again---HELP!!
  6. Tomorrow my sister in law finds out if the new baby she is growing is a boy or girl....my guess--girl.
  7. The new baby is due in June that is why I need a flight to PA......to meet my new niece or nephew.
  8. I still can not believe that our girls are 5 and 7. Where did the time go?
  9. I am still bummed about the Dallas Cowboys losing that playoff game. There is always next year. We even had our new Romo jerseys!!! which are now packed away until next season.
  10. Off to watch American Idol, the auditions are in San diego tonight. Will there be some talent to come out of our fine city or just some good laughs at those who think they have the talent?

Ten on Tuesday

  1. Emilee is feeling great and back to school this week. Ashley never did get sick..thank you God!!
  2. I am enjoying the sunny days again, it was gloomy and cold for a while there.
  3. My mom is in the Cayman Islands all week and it is too expensive to use cell phones while she is there...I miss being able just to call her and chat.
  4. Today I was back to bible study and i can't wait to see what the Lord has to teach me. It is on Hope and i could use some of that.
  5. Ashley has been testing her limits this week and it is only Tuesday. See I need hope that it will get better and that my parenting skills are working.
  6. Silly hat night is this week at Bunco and I am interested to see all the silly hats that are worn by the ladies.
  7. I am trying to make plans for the summer to visit PA but man are flights expensive right now.
  8. I just remembered that I was supposed to call SDG&E today because of a funky smell that my gas oven and dryer are making. I guess there is always tomorrow.
  9. Chris has new hours and is now home by 5!!!!!
  10. After two weeks off, I am back to the gym and training again with my trainer. I am sore today!! but it feels good.

I love the floor!!!

Yeah!!! We have our home put back together!!

The Wood Flooring Process

The grinding and Sanding crew did their best to sheild us from all the dust.

The cement floor has to be level before the wood is put down.
This is the wet cement that we had to walk around..the girls thought it was fun.
The stinky smelly mositure sealant that keep us in a hotel for the night
Finally , the wood was put down. This was the best part, the girls loved watching them spread the glue and put down the wood. I liked that it was finally happening and excited to see the small sample we decided on was just right!!

This week in review

  1. I was so looking forward to the back to school routine and having a few hours to relax...that only lasted about one morning.
  2. Tuesday I got the call from the school nurse, Emilee has been home sick since. Yikes!!!
  3. Monday and Tuesday the floor crew grinded and sanded and cemented our floors to make them level for the hardwood.
  4. Wednesday the sticky and stinky floor sealant was applied and we had to be out and in a hotel for the night. I am doing all of this with a crabby sick girl who is completing normal on Motrin
  5. After being confined to the house most of the week and dealing with a displaced house and a sick child does not make mommy happy....did I mention that I am PMS this week as well. Poor Chris!!
  6. After a FUN evening at the Ramada in Poway (listened to a crazy man yelling profanities at some girl , Emilee awake at 3am needing tissues and more Motrin.) Yummy continental breakfast I must say though.
  7. Here I wait for the floor guys again to finally lay the floors.( they are now one hour late) Our house will be back to normal after the carpet tucker arrives on Saturday. Just in time for Ashley to get sick and to miss school next week, right??
  8. That has only been a glimpse of my week......I did not mention all the details
  9. On a good note I organized Ashley's closet
  10. I may complain but I know that the floors are going to be great and I am blessed to have the opportunity to do them...thanks to the Insurance Company and the stinky sewer spill that started this whole process. I will have before and after pictures by the weekend as long as the job gets done.
  11. thanks for listening.
